Membership in the Society is open to anyone interested in issues related to the thought and character of William James. Philosophers, psychologists, religionists, historians, biographers, literary critics, and many others currently make up the membership of the Society.

Current dues for an individual membership are:

• $25 US for a one-year membership
• $40 US for a two-year membership
• $5 US for a one-year student membership
• $500 US for a lifetime membership

Your dues help publish the academic journal William James Studies, and support other scholarly efforts including the Society's annual meeting held at the American Philosophical Association Conference. WJS is a charitable organization recognized by the IRS under regulation 501(c)(3). As such, dues are 75% deductible.

We encourage any support in the form of a charitable donation to the Society at levels starting as low as $75. These gifts are 100% tax deductible and include a complimentary two-year membership.
